Itinerary

Day 1: Origin – Barcelona

Arrival at the meeting point, pick up and transfer to the hotel. The other services will depend on the arrival timing.

Day 2: Barcelona

Breakfast at the hotel. Panoramic tour around Barcelona including: la Diagonal, Passeig de Gràcia (Casa Milà, Casa Batlló), Via Laietana, Catedral, Passeig Colom, la Rambla, Paral·lel, Plaça Espanya and Montjuïc (Olympic ring and Alcalde’s lookout) to finally reach the Sagrada Família (entrance ticket included). Lunch at a centric restaurant. In the afternoon, tour around the incredible Parc Güell. Then, back to the hotel for dinner and accommodation.

Day 3: Barcelona

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, we will discover the oldest part of the city with our local guide via a walking tour of the historic centre, el Barri Gòtic. We will be able to visit la Plaça de Sant Jaume, la Plaça del Rei, la Catedral and the Ribera’s neighbourhood, where we will visit la Basílica de Santa Maria del Mar, model of the Catalan Gothic. Next, visit of el Born neighbourhood, with its shops and design workshops. Lunch at a typical Barceloneta restaurant. In the afternoon, visit of Futbol Club Barcelona’s museum and facilities. After the visit, rest of the afternoon off. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.

Day 4: Barcelona

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure towards Montserrat, the most important and relevant mountain in Catalonia. There, we will find the historic sanctuary, dedicated to the   Virgin of Montserrat, a great centre of pilgrimage and devotion where we will be able to listen and admire the wonderful white voices of the chorus in its daily canto to the Black Madonna, el Virolai. Lunch and departure towards Figueres, the capital of the Empordà region. On our way, we will stop at the Outlet Shopping Centre La Roca Village, where we will enjoy some free shopping-time. Arrival at the hotel, dinner and accommodation.

Day 5: Figueres

Breakfast at the hotel. Guided tour around Dalí’s Museum, emblematic museum and surrealism’s world capital. Thereafter, we will go to Peralada, where we will visit its magnificent castle, which includes a wine museum, a Christal museum, library and cloister; ending our visit with a cava tasting. Lunch in route. In the afternoon, visit of a wine cellar with the Empordà certificate of origin (DO Empordà). Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.

Day 6: Figueres

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure towards Empúries, from which the Romanization of the Iberian Peninsula began. We will then continue to the fishermen’s village of l'Escala with a long and historical tradition as an anchovy industry. Visit and tasting at one of its factories. Lunch at a typical restaurant with traditional Catalan cuisine. In the afternoon, visit of a wine cellar with the Empordà certificate of origin (DD Empordà). Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.

Day 7: Figueres

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure towards the picturesque village of Cadaqués. Arrived in Cadaqués, we will tour around its steep streets filled with white houses. Lunch in route. In the afternoon, visit of Sant Pere de Rodes monastery, one of the most important exponents of the Catalan Romanesque. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.

Day 8: Figueres – Barcelona - Origin

Breakfast at the hotel and departure towards Barcelona International Airport to take the flight back home.
